Miscellaneous Monday

I had a bit too much material for today so I had to make some decisions as to what link receives massive glory and which must fade into the woodwork.  Hopefully I did it rightly.

I think this stretches the meaning and intent of “survival kit” but I enjoyed it nonetheless.  There were three, maybe four, that I thought were excellent.  Once being the Zombie kit of course.

This was well done in my opinion and I learned a few things in the process.  For one it helps me understand the immense pressure water exerts and that makes me all the more amazed at animals like sperm whales.

I chuckled at this, though I thought one of the corkscrews could have been hands raised in surrender.

Here is a gallery of twins with some facts about then that were interesting.

I enjoyed these a little too much even though the one about the ship is wrong.  That is how they launch a ship.  Oh well.

When Kim and I lived in L. A. we saw lightening only once that we can remember in the span of 10 years.  Both of us grew up with big storms and moving to Wisconsin was a good move for us storm-wise.  All of that to say, we have seen a few of these formations in real life.

I have no idea why I like this video but I do.  I don’t know if the clam is using its foot to gather to salt and then ingests it inside or what but it would be a fun trick to play on some kids I know during a picnic.

  1. I was with you until the Clam video…….I ask Cindy each week if she’s keeping up with your Blog. I can no longer ask with a clear conscience. Salt eating Clams, Hand Grenades, Greek grammar, what more could a guy ask for? I see the need to rest that massive brain of yours on Mondays though….All work and no play turns Matt to ashes…..
